A visit to Taj Mahal...

I have been flirting with a trip to India for years now and still haven't had the guts to pack everything and go by myself. But I love the architecture, the tile patterns, the textiles and how much their spirituality is so present in the daily routine. I can only think that I would have an awesome time... and as I was researching online for images for this India-inspired post I bumped into this stunning photo shooting of the brand Ports 1961 for their last year fall collection. Have you seen it? I didn't until now and I feel in love with everything about it... the location, the styling, the model, the lighting... and I think you can never go wrong to choose old buildings as a set design - specially an old building with so much rich architecture details such as those. Gosh I am so craving a trip to India...

The exotic model is the brazilian beauty Bruna Tenorio.

Those kids are too cool...

Regarding the last post I just want to say thank you all for being so sweet and supportive. It is great to know that I can share my concerns and challenges. The good news is that I don't have anything too serious and I am under treatment which happens to have the side effect of emotional unbalance every once in a while. But I will learn to deal with it and again... I will keep counting my blessings...

I want to share the fact that Pattern & Print blog did a little mention of my textile work (see here). Isn't sweet? You all know how much I am obsessed about children clothing so I decided to devote this post to some really cool children fashion brands.

I want to start with Fabula which is my favorite brand from Brazil! Their designs are so cute and colorful and I have no doubt in mind that once I have kids I would want them to wear this label. I love the fact that their choice of materials and colors clearly have in mind that kids should be running around and having fun. I also adore the beach/ tropical feel...
Fabula's stores are also beautifully designed - as you would expect - and I will be sharing more about it later on.

Roberto Cavalli Angels & Devils is another great childswear brand. Their collection FW2010 collection managed to bring fun and color to winter clothes.

Spanish brand Barcarola had some great Old Hollywood inspiration for their Fall Winter 2011 collection! As much as I love all the glamour and fur and all the hair pieces I am aware that it is not practical for a kids to wear something that fancy. Once I have kids I want them to play and get dirty and sweaty and have fun. I remember as a kid I hated wearing stockings and I would always proudly ruin them from running around, falling on the floor and well just being a kid!

Some of their Spring/Summer 2011 super cute collection...

Now my favorite european brand is Custo Growing. Mainly because it is so 70's inspired and there is so many beautiful bold patterns mixed together.
